Majak Door Shares ‘Shotgun’. “Bedroom poppery that soothes and cajoles your senses.”

Rhythmin’ puffery of grand schemes, diluted into the masks of social and unpredictable self alignment. Something, something, something that calls to the other thing, other thing, other thing – of this day and that. ‘Shotgun’ is a shoegaze inspired bedroom poppery that soothes and cajoles your senses.

“The melody for the track came about when we realised we wanted to write a song that was a bit darker than our usual stuff,“ explained guitarist and vocalist Frank. “We felt like we needed to do something in a minor key, something we could add a bit of drive to, something you might want to head-bang to, and we’re stoked with the result!”

‘Shotgun’ was recorded at the Majak house in Flemington in August, produced by the band alongside James Becker, who also mixed the track.

The first seeds of Majak Door were planted back in 2014 with founding members Frank and Ronnie, who later on-boarded guitarist Louie, keys player Joe and drummer Joe. Majak Door have also juiced things up on the live side, with the addition of conga player Max.

2019 is a new game. And Majak Door, after these passing years, keeps it fabulous in their own way.
