Grand Rapids’ Major Murphy’s new 10 song 70’s Radio smooth-rock album is good for the soul. It soothes those war wounds, fixes the annoying pain in your teeth, and certainly adjusts the mangled spine of current undertows. ‘No.1’ brings the kind of sadness, contrasting the love and ‘to be loved’ – to focus, to brilliant focus.
Their singles ‘Mary’ got the ball rolling at end of 2017, and it was off to the races. The jingle jangle guitar sensibilities with the sun sparkles of the instrumental supports, the band glistens with pride and talent.
Listen to our faves of the record: ‘Step Out’, ‘One Day’, ‘When I Go Out’ and you can see how emotive and emotional the songs compiled are for our ears and for yours. The decadent smoothness imparts wisdom and the guitar riffs and solos, dangle those folk-rock atmospheres, which we love and love to listen to.
Take the journey with MM. You can’t regret it.
