Bluegrass music is one of our faves and bands like The Mammals have it right when it comes to that. Lilac Breeze, is a bluegrass pop serving from a band that is very popular and on tour forever, it seems. The song is light, bluesy, Appalachia-but-not-too-much, and very much pop. It’s a song that is repeatable and just give a happy vibe.
And why shouldn’t it give a happy vibe??
Love, struggles, redemption, victory, contentment – human desires and short-comings that make art interesting, and The Mammals are one of those contributing to the wise old story telling tool called Bluegrass.
In a couple of days, The Mammals will be coming to the East Coast and playing at the Hudson West Folk Festival, taking place in Jersey City, New Jersey (USA). The lineup includes The Mammals, Laura Cortese & The Dance Cards, Abbie Gardner, Matt Nakoa, The Chapin Sisters, Sleeping Bee, Diana Jones, Paul Sachs, Dayna Kurtz, M. Shanghai, Amy Allison, Bobtown and Tim Erbach.
We’ll be looking forward to their performance!
