FROM THE PROMOTER:
It’s back! At the centre of the city of Adelaide sits the Festival’s beating heart: The Palais. With stunning vistas of the river, city and parklands, evening summer breezes and sunset drinks on the outdoor deck, and a series of must-see live events, the Palais is home to the Festival’s artists, audiences and out-of towners for 18 glorious days and nights.
The Palais’ music line up for 2018 is a brilliant check list of Australian and international acts. Queer icon Perfume Genius will bring his fearless and celebrated live show to Adelaide, hot on the heels of sell-out performances in London. Also featured is Brooklyn art-rock indie innovators Grizzly Bear, the soulful indie-pop sensation Lauv and UK electro-pioneers Mount Kimbie. The soul and funk of legend Lee Fields and The Expressions will have festival-goers grooving on The Palais dance floor well into the night with their catalogue of hits.
Brisbane’s Regurgitator started in 1994 and quickly established themselves as an articulate and witty purveyor of the Australian music scene – assembling a mishmash of funk, punk, pop, electronics and any other style that stuck to the sides… with unmitigated irony and a geekish nature. 24 years and 15 albums later, Regurgitator continue to infuse their live performances with exuberance and mania and their mashup rock and electro vibes..
