I'm excited to release the first single from my upcoming record on @wegrowwax_records – titled 'Martingale'. This is 'No Other Way feat. Miteh' and is the first piece of music I wrote in Iceland last year, while sitting in a remote house in the middle of a sheep pasture with views of glacier-capped volcanos and waterfalls. The rest of the upcoming record was all written in and inspired by various parts of Iceland. Huge thanks to Miteh for the lyrics & vocals! You can stream the single on your favorite patform here (also in bio): https://smarturl.it/Mayten-NoOtherWay I've always strived to blend the electronic and the organic, balancing art and technology. “My music is inspired by both downtempo and dance music, trying to find the balance between experimental and driving, emotional yet breezy,” said Mayten. “I wrote this music while living in strange and remote places, like in the middle of a sheep pasture, in a remote waterfront cabin on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, or surrounded by waterfalls and glaciers, listening to the wind shaking the building and watching the northern lights.”
