Michael Flynn Shares ‘Get Old’ (Video). Longing, Love, Empathy, Future.

‘Get Old’ is MICHAEL FLYNN’s first single from his newest album offering ‘Pretend Like’. And this time around, it has received the music video attention that the single deserved. The footages are from Michael’s own stash of family memories from 1958 to Now. There are 6 generations of family members noted in the video, with his daughter (Tula) being featured at the end.

There’s nothing really else to say about the song. It’s a classic heat-string-puller-upper and it does its job very well. It evokes the memories of our individual longings, loves. And sometimes, it evokes a trigger where we look at our past dealings with family members and how we interacted and treated them. For sometimes, we neglect or even take for granted, family members more than we do outsiders.

But that’s not our fault, to a degree. And family members are faithful to us, and in reply. For they are connected by blood, and that, at the end of the day is very strong. Even if we could treat each other a bit nicer.

Michael has a beautiful and kind family, it seems like. And that in itself, is a blessing.

Kudos on your music, and for the life you’ve built.

Wish we could see you live in concert, Michael. But alas, work gets in the way. Boo-hoo for us at CHF =(
