Miss Jupiter debuted in 2016. In 2017, they are on a roll with multiple / consecutive live set dates. Headquartered in Los Angeles, the band is distributed by Lollipop Records and its continuing to kick butt. Psychedelic? Heck yea. Synth dabbling on indie rock sandwich bread slices? Heck yea, number two.
“The One” is one of those momentary travels Miss Jupiter converges their musical aims very close to the original goals. Chord progressions is reminiscent of 1970’s Height Asbury rock and roll groups, but the synthesizer inserts just makes it Miss Jupiter’s own domain. And we dig that a lot.
The monotone vocal presentation of Michelle Rose is powerful in its humbleness and accentuates the instrumentals to instant interest in the brain.
We haven’t seen them live, but from witnessing their live sets on video tells us that this is what entertainment and a great night out can be. Miss Jupiter is fun, engaging, serious in their songs, and very talented.
It was our pleasure in listening to “The One”, for sure.
