Mitchell Green ‘Memories of You’ : Turns on the switch of empathy and love that is within all of us.

Mitchell Green

Victoria, BC (Canada) singer/songwriter and jazz guitarist Mitchell Green offers us a story-of-stories, as the single ‘Memories of You’. Following his debut EP, ‘August Moon’, ‘Memories of You’ turns on the switch of empathy and love that is within all of us.

“My partner and I had just moved into our new home last summer,” said Mitchell. “With this move came a flood of memories thinking back on my childhood home and the importance of having a safe place to grow up. I wrote the song while reflecting back on my brother and mine’s childhood home and the feeling that I have looking back on those early days. Recently I’ve been thinking a lot about the importance of staying in touch with your roots.”

Rapture is a definition, personal. And in the vision of Mitchell’s memories, we’re reminded of how good we’d had it. Even when, at the time, everything seemed like nothing could console. Life is a turn on and of events. And we all smile, as we take that stroll into our deepest haunts and prior desires.

Teaming up with guitarist and producer Adam Dobres (The Wailin’ Jennys, Toni Childs), along with Jasper Barnard-Campell on piano, Nick Mintenko on upright bass/harmonies, Quin Etheridge-Pedden on fiddle.
