Mo Kenney ‘Hard On You’ : Pang of hurt and private sorrow that is becoming and alludes in that positive warmth.

Mo Kenney

From her upcoming collection of cover tracks, there is this gem of ‘Hard on You’ you must listen and check out.

The original sang by Daniel Romano, the song is beautifully worded and crafted. It’s the quintessential country ballad, of love lost but the trek of finding it back again will take time and space.

The love in the space between the words expressed is that caress-ible and understandable pang of hurt and private sorrow that is becoming and alludes in that positive warmth.

Mo’s version, continues that re-kindling of that ‘hurt’ and ‘drama’ of it all, as her vocals open up new dimensions of that ‘understanding’ and gives the protagonist a shoulder to, perhaps, cry and be embraced.

A place to go, when there seems to be nowhere to foster a wounded heart.

Indeed.
