MOLTENO ‘Tripping Up’ : Delicately balance between real and realism.

Walk in a wonderland is when listening to the smooth pop ease of MOLTENO’s single ‘Tripping Up’. A veritable exuberance of thoughts in malice and calm, the self indictments of emotions, gather force with subtle righteousness and trepidation.

It’s a wonderland, indeed.

MOLTENO’s inventive dream pop aesthetic aims to transform art pop, lo-fi and alternative r&b influences to an innovative new astral plane.

“‘Tripping Up’ tackles relationship induced toxic behaviour and self-destruction. Atmospheric layered vocals give way to a convergence of eerie yet warm lyrics that centre around a lack of control, set to a soundscape that blends real with surreal.”

The surreal yet hypnotic events of the video for ‘Tripping Up’ (directed by Daisy Moseley) capture the enchanting rhythm of ‘Tripping Up’ alongside lucid imagery that transitions with fluidity and surrealist takes. The video follows the demise of a young woman, played by Tind Soneby Wäneland, capturing the feeling of being out of one’s depth & out of place.

Beauty in the silky drapes of fix rates in feelings – delicately balance between real and realism with MOLTENO at the helm.
