momoyo ‘Breath’ : Power of breathing, about warmth and viability.

momoyo / Art: Lena Nerinckx (Contour Collective)

Breath is a song about the power of breathing, about warmth and viability, but also about the destroying effect when everything gets to close and breathing gets hard.

momoyo is a Belgian band, with musicians of Jan Verstraeten, Noémie Wolfs, and Uncle Wellington. Fresh and intense, floating on nocturnal beats, lo-fi synths, entrancing strings and above all a voice that grabs you by the throat.

They have been working on a series of songs since mid-2019, each exploring an aspect of what makes a human being human. Each title consists of one word, each word is an essential part of a human being. The debut EP with Starman Records is expected this summer.

Breath was produced by Klaas Tomme (Ides Moon, St. Grandson) and Jonas Bruyneel (Uncle Wellington, Modern Art) at North Garden Studios. Filip Tanghe (Balthazar, Warhaus) mixed. The song was mastered by Brian Lucey (Arctic Monkeys, Depeche Mode).
