Influenced by the 80’s Japanese pop scene (artists like Ryuichi Sakamoto and Harumi Hosono), Motoi endeavors in the most delectable and visceral textures – both subtle and intrinsic.
A knowledge of tones and shades, the dark silhouette, hovers over the longing and incantations of this fabulous single ‘Another’.
Said Motoi: “’Another’ is a breakup song I completed after the end of my 8 year relationship, I wrote this song on my DX7 one night. Its about those moments sitting in silence and really seeing her, seeing myself, recognizing the unspoken grief, trying to find the beauty in those moments. Its about that need and the impossibility in making things better.”
Is it too little too late? Is it too ominous to dig back into the past? Will you win the heart of another, back to where it was – happy and in love?
Majestic little steps are taken with Motoi’s heartfelt single. A stroll down a beach cove, full of emotions, the protagonist looks forward to unfurl the new ideas in making happiness, once again, a part of the present.
Let’s hope again.
