Minneapolis based band NALLO have released a new song and video from their upcoming LP, which drops November 22nd.
Frontman Andrew Ranallo explained about ‘a messy time in his life, navigating personal relationships, “trying to survive in the current American swirl of anger, mental unhealth, internet trolls, and violence.”
The music video, Andrew added was an “an attempt at trying to create something as chaotic and uncomfortable as the experience itself.”
The droning downward spiral is depicted in the guitars and Andrew’s method of vocal deliver, as the lyrics fasten your seatbelt of imaginations and misconceptions, to the fickle side of reality and its iron-bound calamity.
And anthem to ‘paranoia’ and ‘anxiety’, in a way, ‘Anger And Figureheads’ is a velvety expressions of all that vibe that ultimately makes you want to hurl at the end of a big drinking night. It’s that urge to decapitate those ‘unwieldy’ urges for a calm and restful night of sleep. For a brighter tomorrow, is like that bright Saturday morning – beautifully orchestrated to feel like it’s your day of reckoning and recompense.
The contrasts in twinkles and subtleties, mask the hurt and sorrow.
Let’s shout it out loud.
Nallo is made up of Andrew Ranallo, Blake Pederson, Patrick McCabe, and Jac Cornelius.
See Nallo next @ Hexagon Bar Minneapolis, October 10th.
