Nicole Atkins shares Rock N’ Roll single ‘Brokedown Luck’ (Official Video).

Nicole Atkins shares her rock venture through her aeronautic fantasy through the looking-glass, in her new video ‘Brokedown Luck’. In the song, Atkins is as rock and roll as ever, and is vehement in wanting to hold you by your shoulders and shake you a bit. Not to hurt, but to just say ‘Hey here’s the coffee, it’s just regular coffee, but we’re drinking it on the Moon.’

The video was actually filmed in The Asbury Hotel in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Atkins remarked, “When I was a kid there was so much cool stuff on tv to get into. I was obsessed with puppets, claymation and animation like Jim Henson’s Fraggle Rock and Gary Panter’s puppets and art in Pee Wee’s Playhouse and even the little David Lee Roth singing cheeseburger dude in the movie “Better Off Dead.”

Double whoa.

The video is entertaining, the song is rockin’ – what can you say, but that it’s fantabulous in its whimsy and theatrical purpose.

Kudos, Nicole. Kudos.
