Oldtimers is a project by James Leste. And it’s a fab project, indeed. Why? Because it drip, drip, drips those paint droplets, just like a hot summer cold beer drinking lazy hour life.
What we mean is that the thrust of the song, especially, brings that little something; the beach wave non-sensical blasé that we all go through more than we’d like to admit. Ultimately, it’s ok; it’s ok to be uncaring. Caring is harder work, than the act of un-caring. As long as one comes back to caring about… well, something.
Lets not forget, lets not deceive ourselves too long, lets come back to what we love.
The song is graceful in execution, and James’ vocals compliment the unambiguous synth drum, nicely. It’s a good match and good on us.
It wears well. Kudos.
