ONBC brings beautiful singing and arrangements to the world, and they do it at their pace of what inspires them. They’d released one album in 2015, and currently are finishing up their latest. In the meantime the beautifully voiced (by Camilla Florentz) band does live shows and events for the public to hear, caress, and love their songs.
‘Copenhagan’ is a heavy hearted single, with the kind of deep conviction of its worldly genesis. The layering of sounds, experimental in nature, are corresponded with eagerness and contrasted with authoritarian bureaucracy. The single is a flowing mist of sonic premonitions, but framed in an understanding plight in meaningful discussions.
ONBC started out as Oliver North Boy Choir back in the noughties. At that point we only released digital singles and compilations and never played live. That changed in 2013, when we, after a hiatus, got back together and added a new member too.
The band consists of: Camilla Florentz, Tanja Forsberg Granhøj Simonsen, Mikkel Max Jorn and Ivan Petersen.
This particular track was recorded as part of Crunchy Frog (band’s label) special ‘Live At Tapetown’ session during the SPOT festival 2018.
