Hailing from London, alternative dark-pop outfit One Eleven is distinguished by the sultry tone of Fyah’s vocals, and Ollie’s dark musical arrangement. The duo have just revealed their new single ‘Stay Forever’, featuring their first collaboration with one of their favorite producers – Kieron Menzies, best known for his work with Lana Del Rey as well as the likes of FKA Twigs, Lykke Li and Dua Lipa.
Fyah describes the song as being …’a farewell letter, written when I was physically very ill, to someone who I imagined I’d be seeing again down the road in this life or another. Ollie transformed it into a solemn dead march, ethereal and heavy. It’s cool because we always work alone and a record is an isolating experience for us, this time we had Kieron, it was great having another human involved. He gave the production a new twist.‘
Shortly after their first headline gigs at the end of 2019 – both sell-outs at Bermondsey Social Club and Laylow – they were offered a support tour by music legend Bryan Ferry culminating in two nights at The Royal Albert Hall in March.
Dark and twisted. Abrupt and virtual. The shades of gray is a layer underneath the colors of primary concerns.
