Palberta’s Album ‘Roach Goin’ Down’ Will Drop June 15. Perplexed at what you just listened to? It’s love.

If anything else, Palberta’s a band which we’d like to invite for any of our future parties. Even the dullest of our parties (of which are many) we think the band can get the juices flowing, the beers guzzled, many heads scratched in curiosity, and go home with the feeling of being hit by machine gun bullets by their newest upcoming album ‘Roach Goin’ Down’.

The new album drops June 15.

There are 22 songs on this album ‘Roach Goin’ Down’. Each averaging just below 2 minutes long. Some way too much of a Barnam and Bailey circus-esque. Most of them have some lyrics. And ALL of them glorious.

Yes. Glorious.

It’s an acquired taste, really.

We at CHF, just like our dull parties, we love listening to (at least a hefty attempt at) innovation, in song, in music, in length, in depth, in height. All of these are shown in the weirdness of Palberta’s outputs.

It’s just a garage band playing for the friends, then just jamming.

But not jamming, in the ordinary sense. It’s just MORE.

The naked guitars voluptuary surround the songs’ construction, with many songs depicting serious issues with high-end nihilistic sentiments. The possibilities of what songs can become, that promise, is re-captured and fulfilled to a point with the new album.

Chanting.

Flat notes.

Contrasts.

Malignant optics.

Experimentation.

And some cow-bells to boot.

Don’t listen to this at arm’s length. The ‘MESS’ is what the art ‘IS’. The ‘MESS’ is the cacophony that you deserve. The ‘MESS’ is what your ear drums want, but had been very much was under-fed.

The green throw-up is REAL.

There’s a reason Palberta is a favorite to their fans, and in the live performances synchronized dancing and humorous performance art, just defines what the band really is.

We at CHF, take that to heart, and we’re fans.
