pâle regard ‘Bus de nuit’ : Never weaving out of place; in out normal and deserving lives.

“‘Bus de nuit’ (‘Night Bus’) is a delicate ballad that portray a day in the life of a Parisian waitress.” The song follows up on a perilousness of life, in a normal and dignified life. “The song follows her through the night on her way back home in this grey, concrete and dangerous city. She lives a monotonous life, but still shines in the night like all the layers of synth that illuminate the song.”

Observance of the banal, is the concrete slab that keeps things in control. We all want to crack out of this side walk and into the surface of what could have been a different world. The days could have been brighter; the days could have been happier.

At least that’s what we hear our inner minds tell ourselves.

‘Bus de nuit’ is a fantastical observance of our desires, reckless dreams, and often than not, duty to responsibilities that shackle our true desires.

A slow heartbreak, year by year, month by month – we dare not crack that concrete sidewalk, as we carefully try to maintain such a demeanor.

Never weaving out of place; in out normal and deserving lives.

The song is a beautifully dark and nihilistic vibe that you should have in your rotation.

pâle regard will release their 2nd EP ‘Terrain vague’ near January 2020.

See them next @ Le Pop-Up du Label, Paris on January 16th.
