Parquet Courts Shares Danceable Single ‘Wide Awake’ Official Video. Can’t dance, but can groove away.

We had commented that Parquet Courts’ single ‘Almost Had To Start A Fight / In And Out Of Patience’ as: “The quirkiness is astounding. The music fantastic. The beats fabulous. The art progressions, just ravenous.”

What can we say about their latest single and its music video?

How about: bodacious, outrageous, almost no lyrics, stupendous, freestyle beginning, danceable.

All of that combined, is what this song and the guys in PC is all about. They are such a talented group of guys, just doing their thang and making people in an office like CHF, very jealous.

The beginning of the song is very Bronx Freestyle-esque to be sure, but the song stays in even keel, revealing just more of them and the lyric’s one focus and mission.

“Repeat one thing. Repeat it often.”

We drool.

Touché, mes ami. Touché.

Enjoy this entertainment.

They are re’ed by Rough Trade in Brooklyn.

The new album ‘Wide Awake’ drops May 18.
