Constriction and parchment white winds: a delusional clarify where you belong in this world. PET wife’s single ‘.B.L.O.O.D.O.R.A.N.G.E’ is that poison. That poison that relieves you of the norms. The norms that bind you and surround you.
‘.B.L.O.O.D.O.R.A.N.G.E’ is a coiled snake ready to strike. Disabused of misinformation, misanthropy, and misogyny, the song speaks to strangle any doubt that the only way out is through the fire, rising to own the stigma, and ready to fight.
PET wife is a queer trans couple who independently produce experimental electro pop at Dirty Tailor Studios in Bushwick. Their romance began as a creative tet-a-tet sending playlists, poems, and art back and forth, ultimately culminating in a multi disciplinary concept project incorporating elements of fashion and performance art along a musical journey.
The music video for ‘.B.L.O.O.D.O.R.A.N.G.E.’ draws on the genre of 1970s lesbian exploitation horror films and draws parallels between the current viral outbreak and the solidarity of queer community. Shot in Brooklyn by Tommy Venus and Vuk LK, the video features an all-trans/GNC crew and LGBT cast.
PET wife is an experimental pop duo, incorporating elements of design and performance art. Their music incorporates elements of dance, soul, R&B, rock, psych, baroque, and hip hop – all while deliberating on our cortex, with depth of thought and philosophical ingredients.
