Phantom Thread: Daniel Day-Lewis returns to the cinema, with an emotional rollercoaster.

Returning from several years on hiatus, highly regarded dramatic actor, Daniel Day-Lewis, tells a story of a successful 1950’s dress maker and his trials and tribulations with a strong willed love interest.

Daniel Day-Lewis’ last film was “Lincoln” released in 2012. He’d received critical acclaim for that role and for that film.

Phantom Thread is produced and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. He’s known for: “There Will Be Blood”, “The Master”, “Magnolia”, “Boogie Nights”.

This film is reported to be Day-Lewis’ last film before official retirement.

Phantom Thread is released on December 25th Christmas Day, in the US, and February 2nd, in the UK.
