POST ANIMAL Share New Single And Self-Directed Video For ‘Gelatin Mode’.

Chicago’s neo-psych rock band Post Animal debuted their new video for single ‘Gelatin Mode’. This is included off of the upcoming new LP ‘When I Think Of You In A Castle’ which drops April 20th. And what can we say about ‘Gelatin Mode’? We’re in a new kind of hurt – ‘hurt so good’ baby!

“For this video, we wanted to test our physical limits, gunning for stunts no one has ever attempted before. We had no guidelines, no restrictions, just our minds, our bodies, and a camera,” Post Animal explain to Noisey. “We have done away with ourselves. The nights grow short and the days linger. Prepare to abandon reason and have some fun as you venture into… gelatin mode”

The six friends just keeps on riffing, hooking, sloshing – the way it should be, in this Universe named ‘Post Animal’. However, there were some doubts to the future of the band.

“Before this album, we weren’t sure what the future of the band was going to look like. I was considering moving to Los Angeles and Joe [Keery] was off filming Stranger Things. We didn’t know where we were all going but we knew we wanted to make an album with all of us in the same room,” explains drummer Wesley Toledo. When the band – comprised of friends from childhood, the local music scene, and hometown burger joints – found the time to go to a lake house in Michigan to record, magic happened and ‘When I Think Of You In A Castle’ was born.”

Kudos.

“Before we recorded it, it was an uncertain time for us as a band, but we all just had a magical time at this lake house in the middle of summer.”

Fast forward, and the Chicago band is kicking up a storm and is considered one of the most exciting bands to come out of the windy city area. And to support and celebrate the new album, they will headline their extensive US tour.

Word.

They’re rep’ed by Polyvinyl.
