“We funded the video shoot with a successful (and our first and only) Kickstarter campaign (thanks to our fan base and community support) and the single was produced by award winning producer Andrew Judah. I’ve attached a link to our full Press Release to learn even more, you’ll get an early listen of the single and get to see the video now before anyone else.”
Post-Modern Connection’s soundscape drowns out the sorrows and weeps in the happiness, understated. Their songwriting pairs thoughtful lyrics and carefully crafted dynamics. Soulful RnB infused vocals meet catchy indie-pop riffs – electronic synths paired with classical violin – Post Modern Connection’s ability to play with dynamics is clear.
‘Drowning’ combines strong Doo-Wop elements with soulful vocals and classic violin. It’s an intricate blend of sound and will be released with an incredible video to match. A single that matches prog with blues pop ensembles, the velvety tiers of the lyrics, crush and abound, with gentle flicks of emotions and sultry innuendoes.
The video was shot and directed by Teaghan McGinnis, a successful photographer and videographer who has toured the world with various artists on indie and major labels. It’s a vintage throwback, with a distinct visual style that pays homage to some of our favorite directors and draws cinematic parallels to Peach Pit’s “Shampoo Bottles”.
