PREMIERE: Jeremy Tuplin Title Single ‘Pink Mirror’ Off Of Upcoming Sophomore Album (February 8th).

JEREMY TUPLIN is a masterful induction in story telling and provocateur of ambient-esque incantations. ‘Pink Mirror’ is a dedicated tradition of incontrovertible resistance (and acceptance) for behaviors of us humans, living and constructing.

Reflecting on life is hard to do. It comes with many factors and talents; when we’re hard-up for some kind of anchor to cling to. A story is a lesson, a suggestion, and a possible trip to a place we can open up our hearts for new or for a dramatic re-visits. The sometimes convoluted circumstances fester with might, privately reducing our good will from intended offers, to a lateral promotions of doubt and contradictory reassurances.

Following the release of his first single ‘Bad Lover’ JEREMY TUPLIN’s ‘Pink Mirror’ inspires, in its unique way, and opens up a pandora’s box of secrets and potential truisms. The languid vocals of Jeremy, transforms pallets of sound and color, to deep misty mahogany, as the veins within the grains of the lyrics, proficiently highlight and enhance the suppositions of closely guarded emotions.

“I like to observe and try to understand; so, this ‘pink mirror’ idea came to me as an observational thing that seemed to explain aspects human behaviour, relating to conscience mainly – both individual and collective. It works to different degrees and vast extremes, as the examples in the song suggests, but at the end of the day that’s all it is, a pop song.”

The enriched painting in ‘Pink Mirror’ gasps at the often contradiction within all of us. But at the same time – and as Jeremy often does – sees this dispositions of dissonance, as an emblem for uniqueness and frailties that could deliciously inspire and destroy.

Interpretations in song is what indie songwriters can do. Jeremy paints with a different kind of brush.

And that is glorious.

See Jeremy at The Prince Albert (Stroud) on February 21st.
