PREMIERE // Mappings ‘How Things Were’ : Collide into a swirl of truths and energies that pour into acceptance and ultimate salvation.

Mappings

“After going through a relationship breakup, a band breakup, and a broken bone, I essentially isolated myself for six months and taught myself to play guitar and write music,” said Mappings. “This was one of the first products of that isolation. I wrote and performed all instruments and vocals on the track.”

Mappings is Tanner Turner. The project is currently based out of San Diego and Mappings makes sure of music to “remind people that everything – and everyone – is more connected than it seems.”

That means there is a depth of clarity and internal story telling that, now, is in a form that can be shared with Tanner’s public.

It’s a relatable resolution that is messy and cloudy. But at the same time, a necessity of granular vulgarity; where a detail of sadness and joy, collide into a swirl of truths and energies that pour into acceptance and ultimate salvation.

Mappings’ single ‘How Things Were’ is that stimulation. It is Tanner’s own way of making it through this existence.

For the betterment.

Let’s get charmed by the words of Mappings.
