PREMIERE: The Ladles Share ‘Back Pocket Love’. “Refreshing. Folk. Fabulous.”

Katie Martucci, Caroline Kuhn and Lucia Pontoniere met in the Autumn of 2014 at the New England Conservatory. In their undergraduate Contemporary Improvisation program, they were the only women in the class. So, like any ambitious and outgoing individuals, they too to conversing and banded together, in a call for personal and social solidarity.

But they had something.

Something that first drew them closer to each other. Then as that friendship grew through their musical direction in life, they were performing regularly in the Boston area.

THE LADLES was officially born. And within a year, the trio debuted with their EP, booked a 6 week summer tour, to boot. 2019 will be a celebration in witnessing their debut full-length album ‘The Line’.

For us the listeners, the trio are a gift.

That serendipitous event that has us the opportunity to listen to their fabulous music. THE LADELS represent a down-home folk charisma which we hadn’t seen or heard from a new band in a long time. The combination of energy and Universal effort, anchored by the gloriously powerful and emotive vocals of Caroline Kuhn, reflects off of the atmosphere just as sunshine bounces from the looking glass. The shimmering harmonies right away, click with your senses with all of the properties that had always been there – in your heart.

If you’ve never tried folk/bluegrass-pop before, THE LADLES are a fabulous experience.

See the glimmering trio live on July 11th @ The Birdhouse Center for the Arts in Lambertville, New Jersey.
