“I’ll never forget when I witnessed the injustice that happened in America and while watching the world’s reaction I was reminded of Luther King Jr.’s words: “This momentous decree came as a great beacon light of hope to millions of Negro slaves who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their captivity.” And it was with those words in mind I wrote this song.”

Having grown up in a home with alcoholism and having struggled with nihilism, depressive tendencies, and suicide throughout his whole life, his music and creative expressions have been fueled by this nihilistic feeling as a means to cope with it.
