R.E.M photos, taken at Vanderbilt U (Nov. 11, 1982), bring back memories for one fan.

Tony Frost (a fan of R.E.M., father of 2, and artist for two bands, Snakehips and Sour Ops) reminisced about the days gone by of watching the up and coming band develop in front of his eyes.

“I shot these photos of [R.E.M] at the age of 17 here in Nashville at Vanderbilt’s Sarratt Cinema,” stated Tony on his Instagram. “This was [R.E.M] Chronic Town Tour. These photos were lost for 25 years.”

R.E.M. appreciated the finds by Tony on a reply to their fans, with glee.
