Reino is a dance-punk trio from the Netherlands. The band makes poppy songs with crisp synthesizers and some punk energy to top it off. Think LCD Soundsystems danceable synths mixed with the raw energy of the early Arctic Monkeys. The music of Reino is like the candy you were addicted to when you were young; a jawbreaker full of flavours you can’t resist.
REINO brings ‘Date-O-Matic’ which is akin to a mix of feelings that emanate when ‘Friday nights’, ‘warm Summer evening’, ‘your girl gazing at you’, and feeling of a ‘nothing can get in my way’ gumption, are at the heart of you. The refreshingly pop and dancey indie-rock offering is so what you needed today.
The trio from the Netherlands makes this song sing and when the crisp rhythms and particular effervescence is directed by the vocals, it is an electrifying consumption of passions. As the song starts with house synth, it transitions into the new-wave-like vocals and chats reminiscent of a Kaiser Chiefs’ single.
But with more pop, and similarly hooky.
It’s so dang fun.
You can’t help but get in.
The band consists of Erik van Schoonhoven, Thomas Rikkers, and Sven van der Meer.
Look for more.
