VICTORS – ELECTRONIC-POP OUTFIT ANNOUNCE UK DATES FOR 2020

The band who recently released their enveloping new single ‘Craving’, are now sizing up two shows in March next year at the Islington O2 Academy (6/3/20), before a show that will see them go back to their roots at The Lending Room in Leeds later that month (3/21/2020). “Every time we come to London we see more and more people singing every single word back to us. Now we’re headlining our first O2 Academy show which is so exciting to say. London we can’t wait to see you. And also, Leeds has watched us develop as an artist from the very beginning. It somehow feels stranger watching our fan base grow in our hometown. We don’t play in Leeds often but every time we do, it’s really special for us.”

‘Thee Attack’, the sophomore release from XL427 is poised for release January 3, 2020.

“Thee Attack” is the long-awaited sophomore release from XL427, that is if anyone knew that the drummer from Kris N., Jill & Micah, Second Best, Ruetschle and the head of Poptek Records had his own band.” “Thee Attack” is an ominous title for a batch of songs that are much darker than the retro-happy debut of XL427. “Sad songs make me happy, but beyond that, getting sick changes your perspective on a lot of life. All but one of these songs are borne of that struggle, though I still try to write really catchy choruses.”

Soweto-based 4 piece Urban Village have announced their signing to faultless Parisian imprint Nø Førmat!, alongside the release of their debut single, ‘Sakhisizwe’. The first track lifted from Urban Village’s debut album – due in 2020 – the infectious ‘Sakhisizwe’ arrives just ahead of a New Year’s Eve appearance from the band at Afropunk Johannesburg (with the likes of Nao, Solange and Miguel also on this year’s line up). ‘Sakhisizwe’ is available to stream via all DSPs from here, alongside a live performance video shot in Paris during Nø Førmat!’s 15th anniversary celebrations. See them December 29th, NORTHERN DRAKENSBERG Smoking Dragon Festival.

OCTOBER DRIFT – DEBUT ALBUM OUT JANUARY 24TH; UK HEADLINE TOUR IN FEBRUARY.

October Drift have shared the emotive acoustic video for their latest single, ‘Forever Whatever’, as part of their series of Songs In Strange Places. The video follows the announcement of a ten-date headline tour for February after the release of their debut album Forever Whatever, out on January 24th via Physical Education Records. A cathartic collection of tracks encompassing themes of loneliness, fear and ultimate positivity, Forever Whatever builds on the solid foundation that they have built over years of touring and writing to cement themselves as an important and powerful new presence.
