In late 2017, The Slow Readers Club played at the Royal Albert Hall, and the subsequent single ‘You Opened Up My Heart’ was played. Then captured. On video. There we can see the sold out crowd to be entrenched in the synth-pop / new wave style driven rock.
We’d reviewed this single and stated: “The tyrannical beats and synth driven speed of audible intransigence, depicts the new single, harping at your boundaries of darkness and light. The travel through time and space, cheating past the wave of dust covered faces – smiling and caressing – with each tinge of suppositions and monotone feelings for each other. The lovers held one another, to a cry, then “Hooray!”, their new lives started to become reality.”
The upcoming album ‘Build A Tower’ drops on May 4th.
