In the midst of the Joel Osteen PR debacle, we at CHF asked ourselves, “who are the richest Pastors in the US?”.
The richest Christianity based pastors come from the order of “Prosperity theology”. Prosperity theology apologists push the idea that becoming and/or being rich is a right- where financial blessings is a given privilege that each member should take advantage of, and that one way of doing this is to donate to the particular ministry.
In all, they are all controversial and personally very rich. On the other shoe, there are many pastors who are NOT independently wealthy and aren’t controversial. There are ‘bad pastors’, ‘good pastors’, ‘rich pastors’, and ‘poor pastors’.
And learning and being aware of personalities is what we, in the public, should do to make informed decisions or amount opinions.
Certainly, Joel Osteen, could have been one of the first to step up and announce opening or mobilizing his church to help his neighbors. But that did not happen. It’s an expectation the public, fairly can expect, no?
Ok, anywho, here’s the list.
RICHEST US CHRISTIAN PASTORS:
Kenneth Copeland ($760 Million)…Loves his Jets.
Pat Robertson ($100 Million)…Defended Trumps’ booty grab.
Benny Hinn ($42 Million)…His jacket heals people.
Joel Osteen ($40 Million)…Oh, Harvey!
Creflo Dollar ($27 Million)…Yes, that is his real last name.
Rick Warren ($25 Million)…The Mildest. Oh and the Obama inauguration.
