Rié, the talented artist from London comes back at us with ‘Benevolent Creature’, a follow up new single to the 2017’s ‘Levels’ and ‘Business Trips’ EPs. This time, unlike her more quirky songs, i.e. ‘Three Black Labradors’ – her more emotional and rhythmic side comes out for us to peer and admire.
She’ll be playing in support of the recent release with a show at The Finsbury, London on March 27.
Rié is a very fluid pop singer. Crossing genres and categories with ease, injecting a very affectionate and warm vocals, she tries to grab ahold of your inhibitions and points. She tells you what you have. Then tells you what you need to fill that cup of half filled broken hearts.
“The only way is to look at that ‘creature’ in the eye; and this song by no means is an evangelistic attempt to save people, but I do want to convey the message to take it by the hand (and) don’t look away.”
Her full debut album is slated for sometime 2019.
It’s about time.
Her world music style of sensibilities will surely effect many fans the world over, very soon, we predict.
Kudos, Rié, kudos.
