Robin Hatch ‘Heatstroke’ : Her heart began to expand with even more beautiful fulfillment towards her internal desires.

Feeling alive after the tentacles of the dark side, relinquished its grip, her heart began to expand with even more beautiful fulfillment towards her internal desires.

Robin Hatch is Toronto based, and works the electronics to make compelling and deviously catchy songs.

Said Robin: “It is about moving forward after the end of a relationship and finding oneself in the same toxic patterns, and sort of the rush of validation that comes with that, and accepting one’s own position in that cycle rather than blaming a partner.”

Off of her latest release LP ‘Noise’, Robin brings a minimalist electronica album inspired by the production style of Giorgio Moroder and early krautrock, to the fore.

In Dec 2019 the Guardian gave her self-titled piano album Contemporary Album of the Month and said she invented a new grammar for the piano. In April 2019 she was Apple Music’s featured artist of the week, and currently appears on their “This is Electronic” playlist in Canada.

Produced solely in her bedroom during these quarantine times, it eclectically features the iridescence of both Prophet-12 synth and the Elektron Rytm Mk-ii drum machine.
