Formed in 2016, the Northampton based 4 piece band SARPA SALPA comes at us with ‘Casanova’. With a catchy line of riffs, and even catchier funk and drive, the single instills classic indie-rock pop-ness we’d missed for a while.
Made up of George (guitar), Marcus (guitar & vox), Charlie (drums) and Ethan (bass), the band had a very productive and busy year in 2018, as they played 80 sows including 20 festivals in the UK/oversea dates. The summer ended with The Big Feastival then BLOGTOBERFEST in the fall.
Quite a year indeed.
The decorated band brings straight forward live performance vibes with exciting instrumentals and riotous lyrical works.
Frontman Marcus Marooth speaks of Casanova as it being: About the high standards people have when entering new relationships, and how expectations can get in the way of connecting with people for who they are and not who you want them to be. He explains that these days it can potentially stop people blossoming as couples.
See them at the Verve Bar in Leeds on February 23rd, and at 229 The Venue on March 7th in London.
