Seafarers ‘Virgin Soil’ : Your thoughts are stimulated into a painting in gorgeous hymns of light and dark – of truths and ‘what ifs’.

Seafarers / Animation: Jonathan Hodgson

Like a beautiful lullaby, of thoughts and dust, the sprinkling of tales and consuming art, ‘Virgin Soil’ brings intimate shimmers and textures to the uninitiated senses to bear. A full frontal assault on sensibility, your thoughts are stimulated into a painting in gorgeous hymns of light and dark – of truths and ‘what ifs’.

Seafarers are a London based group led by songwriter and saxophonist Matthew Herd. The band is completed and enhanced with talented members Lauren Kinsella, Tom Taylor, Tom McCredie, Dave Hamblett, Innes White, Tom Gibbs, Phillip Cardwell and Kevin Garrity.

Produced and mixed by Euan Burton, every nook and cranny of the production, highlights with ember, trickling the ominous, and undoubtedly embracing in a warm bath of the sultry.

The video is illustrated by Jonathan Hodgson, perfectly evoking the mahogany grandeur of the song.
