Inspired by the sounds of synth-wave and 80’s vocal stylings, Seattic is back with single ‘bit’. Both an acronym (‘Back In Town’) and a homage to 80’s computer architecture 8 BIT, the song is a story of a past relationship that had been dead for a long time – until the moment they’re both back in town.
Seattic is the solo project by Adrian Osman, Melbourne-based songwriter and former lead guitarist of Brisbane rock outfit Tourism.
Leaving his rock roots behind, Osman brewed up a saucy synth pop blend. Taking the best influences from 80s New Wave, he joined forces with his own stories of love lost, love found, love lost again.
From here to there, and everywhere all over, our human relationships differ much and differ very little. From lust to love to desperation, we incite and sometimes despise love as they’d been. Memories are tattered, even if we think we’d never wanted it that way.
Sometimes, even the most obvious, pulls us back with beautiful memories of a situation that is no more.
