Shaylee ‘Audrey’ : Sets aside the departure of the unfathomable. Puts crystal layers of formative revelry into the soul of it all.

Shaylee

‘Audrey’ by Shaylee, sets aside the departure of the unfathomable, and puts crystal layers of formative revelry into the soul of it all. Led by Elle Archer, the Portland based psyche rock project is fabulous in every way.

The song is a remembrance of Elle’s girlfriend told of her that a local musician and trans woman committed suicide. The deceased was Audrey, and upon this, the song ‘Audrey’ was born.

With a realization that if thing went in a certain way, Audrey could have been Elle.

A song of dedication to Audrey, and a commitment in fighting the good fight to live another day to the best of her ability, Elle tackles the issue at hand, with angular observation and rock denouncement.

Powerful and empathetic, ‘Audrey’ is for all of us to ponder.
