Shrug Life are proud to share the new video for their ode to festivals ‘Last Gasp Of Summer’. Filmed in part at last year’s Arcadian Field festival, the video sees singer Danny Carroll ‘finding himself’ in the midst of outdoor revelry. Of the song and video the band explain “it’s wrestling with all that is great and abysmal about Irish festivals. Within that chaos there’s moments of triumph and jubilation you wouldn’t experience in any other setting”.

A more nostalgic document than intended, ‘Last Gasp Of Summer’ is the latest song to be released from the band’s second album ‘Maybe You’re The Punchline’.

Shrug Life have been a staple of the Dublin indie scene for five years, first emerging as part of the Popical Island collective with their 2015 EP ‘The Grand Stretch’. Going on to feature in end of year lists from The Last Mixed Tape, Thin Air, and Goldenplec, the Dublin trio became known for their wry lyrics and frenetic indie rock – drawing welcome comparisons with XTC and early Weezer.
