Song Of The Day! EmmaDop Shares ‘Fitness’. “Conciliatory embers, of life, brim with awareness.”

“Imagine, after a long day that you pack your bag and take the bus to your nearest gym. You open the door and your nostrils are greeted by a wall of sweat. Everyone is here. Your boss, your neighbor, the woman who sells you coffee, your ex-boyfriend. They all run in a line, overlooking the sidewalk. They look great, display a surplus of energy and wear tight-fitting tights. You look at the clock, you are already behind, far behind, so you stand next to them, in the hope of overtaking them.”

Aarhus based pop group EmmaDop released their debut single ‘Fitness’. Day-to-day, mono-e-mono, person-to-person, dog-eat-dog kind of existence, is the gruesomely depicted beauty of life in this single.

Earbop, with immediate connection, the single is the trio’s ambition for cool beats and choruses that just makes sense. The shimmer and expertise are inspired by bands like ‘Little Dragon’, ‘Emma Pi’ and ‘Spleen United’.

“It’s a raw song, with a melancholy ecstasy-chorus, which is about living in a time when all of us want to be the fastest runner… ” added lead singer, Line Ammitzboell Søndergaard.

And about the music video?

Continued Line: “The song is presented in a minimalist music video in which the city, the sea and the lines of a running track form the framework for a race where an unexpected, well-trained man makes his entrance with exceptionally good timing: “We filmed by the harbor in Aarhus, on the longest paved stretch we could find, with the fitness music-track playing, as loud as our old, semi-defective car radio could play. The harbor is a more or less public place, so we had agreed, that if anyone came by, we should just pretend that we knew nothing about it and continue recording. And exactly this happened, someone came by in the most magical way ever! – it just made the video way cooler than we could ever have anticipated”.

This single is a fantastic charm of roll-off-the-tongue ecstasy, wrapped in the none-traditional pop goodness, and deliciously presented in that modern authority that is confident, exuding, artistic, and resounding.

Line Ammitzboell Søndergaard is joined by her bandmates, Anton Radmer and Ole Larsen.

See them next in Silkeborg, Danmark on September 20th @ Rampelys Kultur Og Live.
