Indie-electronica-folk artist Mammals brings his latest, ‘Mansion’. And it’s a beautiful ride of sensual synths, apropos of memories and contrasting manic resurgence of heart-ful decor.
“‘Mansion’ explores the depths of being totally consumed under oceans of powers we can’t control,” explained Guy Brown. “While recording it, I felt distant and insignificant – in the dark. I wanted to explore this through the track’s production and with lyrics that express the weight of relationships and existence.”
His 2014 debut EP, ‘Animalia,’ has received over 11 million streams on Spotify and saw him land main support slots on the Australian tours of The 1975 and Of Monsters and Men. Guy’s 2017 single ‘Depraved’ featured in the season finale of popular US television series How To Get Away With Murder. Since then, he dove into successful collaborations with Goldroom and LDRU and had his 2019 single ‘Calm Down’ amass an impressive 80k plays on Apple Music within its first week of release.
Dreamy inklings, dangle at he edges of ‘Mansion’, doling out morsels of truths and personality of attitudes. The single makes beautiful haste in producing wells of feelings and invoking assertions.
