Song Of The Day! Modern Cult ‘Relapse’ : A whimsical decadence, triumphant with darkened embers of contextual awe.

Modern Cult

“I am one to leave a song to interpretation”, emphasized Modern Cult, “but to put it as simple and tasteful as possible I would say it’s about the hardships of love & relationships and how even when bad, we tend to fall time and time again often out of our control. Just like drug addiction is a disease love can tend to work in the same way in the wrong hands.”

A whimsical decadence, triumphant with darkened embers of contextual awe – Modern Cult’s ‘Relapse’ conjures irresponsibilities withe heaviness of accountability and pleasure. A juxtaposition of vices gone awry. An embracing exercise in love and hate, for self – for others.

After many musical endeavors, including US and International tours with his band Plastic Pinks, singer/songwriter Augie Pink launches himself into a new era, introducing a completely different auditory experience to that of his past ventures. Modern Cult defines a new vision for the artist, mixing 80’s synth-pop influences with a modern, indie sound.

The song tresses the need for love through lyrics of heartbreak, combining strong, emotional vocals with an upbeat tone.

Working hand-in-hand with producer BeatsByForza, the two managed to hone what is now the signature sound for Modern Cult.

Hitting its mark, Modern Cult’s beginning and prosperity has been cemented.
