Song Of The Day! Seafarers ‘And Maybe I’m Scared’ : Visceral goodness and purity. A damning assertion to what emotive vibes can achieve.

Seafarers

Seafarers are a London based group led by songwriter and saxophonist Matthew Herd. The band are preparing for the release of their debut album, ‘Orlando’. Completed with members Lauren Kinsella (Voice), Tom Taylor (Piano and Hammond Organ), Tom McCredie (Double Bass and Electric Guitar) and Dave Hamblett (Drums), single ‘And Maybe I’m Scared’ is a triumph over the angst of everything that seeded into your personal limitations.

It’s a song of visceral goodness and purity. A damning assertion to what emotive vibes can achieve.

Written over the course of four years, the album, ‘Orlando’, brings Seafarers together with some of the most prominent figures in Scottish folk. Drawing inspiration from Virginia Woolf’s timeless work on liberation, the collective voices on “Orlando” yearn for freedom. Threads of solitude, longing, and an affiliation with the natural world weave through the album, binding songs, instrumentals, and poetry.

Look for more from this beautifully textures band. ‘Orlando” will be released in Autumn 2020.
