Song Of The Day! The High Curbs ‘Brutus’ : High flying, reverb eating, pandemic traversing Alcatraz of sights, sounds, and destruction.

The High Curbs

Raging emotions, sliced into morsels of gratitudes and dismissive grunts, The High Curbs’ single ‘Brutus’ is a high flying, reverb eating, pandemic traversing Alcatraz of sights, sounds, and destruction.

Formed in 2013, the four piece still boasts three of its original members, who, bound by the constraints of their youth, the monotonous sprawl of the Chino suburbs, and a healthy dose of skateboarding, came together to create a searing rock n’ roll band.

Opening with distorted and blistering screams, ‘Brutus’ is a wild ride that only intensifies as it continues. “Try to forget me / I bet that you won’t HAHA,” Moreno seethes on behalf of himself and all others who share his fury, while the band rages with him, returning again and again to the bitter truth: “A lost cause for all.”

“There was a part I almost rewrote for Brutus,” said Eduardo. “But then I was like, fuck it, this is something that affected me, why settle? I talked it over with my bandmates too, and they were like, it’s a part of you, so I think you should flaunt it.”

Aaron Korbe, Andrew Palomino, Alberto Alvarenga and Eduardo Moreno make up the goodness of this project.

Iñigo Montoya ‘Gymnasium (Obsimo Remix)’ : Flexes in conjunction to the original piece that is another Universe, unto itself.

Iamfromthewild ‘Funerals ain’t for the dead’ : A power of subtlety, and exquisitely bare scars and urging angsts.
