Sonny Winnebago ‘Little Sun’ : Invigorating and encouraging vocals, makes smiles that lasts.

Sonny Winnebago

“I wrote Little Sun as an act of surrender – I had to admit to myself that I’m a headless chicken! It felt really good to lay it all out,” said Sonny Winnebago. “All my desperation to do better & be better in life caught up in this dark, introspective moment. I was living in London and working in a coffee shop. I felt quite powerless – having no plans for the future. It all kind of felt like a time bomb. I wanted to get away from it all – to live in a garden, or the sea! I had this big realisation that we’re all winging it, all the time, haha. How can you prepare for the future when you don’t know what it’s going to look like?”

“Many of our anxieties come from the fact that we project our subconscious into something that doesn’t and will never exist. Writing Little Sun really helped to take the pressure off ‘finding my way’ in life. I allowed myself to express those thoughts and feelings, and felt better because of it.”

Sonny Winnebago is the moniker of Welsh-Australian troubadour and musician Harvey Jones. He spent the entirety of 2019 living out of his battered suitcase and beloved camper van, all whilst feeding other people’s cats and dogs.

Result is the golden shimmer of love and embrace of songs like ‘Little Sun’. A dancing skip of happiness that is just over the horizon, Sonny’s invigorating and encouraging vocals, makes smiles that lasts.

Really important that the UK Government act fast to keep our grassroots venues afloat. Honestly, small venues are without a doubt the most integral part of the industry! (No local live opportunities = no future pop stars 😯) ⁣ ⁣ Our Culture Secretary needs some persuasion to do his job (it’s not just musicians who aren’t happy with him), so hopefully algorithms and the media will pick up on this hashtag and he’ll have a “shit… the kids!” moment and realise that he’s been a very neglectful parent 😭⁣ ⁣ There’ll also be a socially distanced protest outside the Welsh Senedd on Saturday the 11th @ 12pm. ⁣ ⁣ Thanks! 🌻⁣ ⁣ #letthemusicplay #oliverdowden #grassrootsvenue #sonnywinnebago

A Little Nothing ‘Losing Control’ : A charm that succumbs to nothing. With pure revelry and nostalgia.

Song Of The Day! Richard Hummingbird ‘Keep Us Up’ : Enviable sophistication for their art. Atmospheric affection and cosmic love’s adherence.
