It’s a rare occasion where total digital music / electronica centered songs get featured on CHF, but there are sometimes we convince ourselves the song/artist fits here because, simply, is so very good.
And Sophia Kennedy’s “Build Me A House” fits in that category, we set for ourselves
The song is weird, odd, bouncy, arrogant, full of message – all in a seemingly short packaging. This 3+minute musical dish seems shorter and succinct. But one cannot get enough of it and dread the end of the rhythms.
Knee knocking/slapping rhythm is the focal attraction of the song and we love it.
Just reminds us of Radiohead, in its delivery, repeat lyrics dowsed in synth pop goodness.
