Space X: Iridium 3 satellite delivery, smooth and on target. Lands Falcon 9 first stage successfully in Pacific.

To some, in the age of the Internet, the first stage landings of Space X’s Falcon 9 is becoming ‘ho-hum’ boring. But no matter who you are, there’s no denying, a year to remember for Space X and the successive executions for their clients.

Early this morning Space X launched its re-usable Falcon 9 rocket, with the mission of putting into orbit the Iridium 3 NEXT satellite (owned and operated by Iridium).

Once the payload has been separated, the Falcon 9 headed toward the earth to be used again at another launch. This time, the Falcon 9 rocket returned to a site in the Pacific ocean, landing perfectly and safely.

Elon Musk, CEO of Space X had announced his general plan, at the IAC, for occupying the planet of Mars. Space X’s current missions pay the bills to get to the next several steps, and beyond.
