“What is that incessant noise coming from your room? Shut it off!!” No. Heck no. That noise is Surf Thugs’ Just Sad. And again, we won’t turn it off. We’ll turn it ‘loud’, and ‘proud’, and ‘louder’.
What else can you say about punk and songs like ‘Just Sad’.
First, don’t be sad.
Second, don’t be too happy.
Third, exercise that thumb and index finger and practice turning up that physical volume knob.
Feels good, don’t it?
That stretching of your joints between those fingers – the karma like turning of the degrees to ‘8’.
The rushing of the guitar riffs, washing between your 2 day old, unwashed senses.
What a day to scrub-a-glug-glug.
The gang in Surf Thugs consists of: Diave Collishaw (Guitar/Vocals), Chris Mann (Guitar), James Hampton (Bass), and Jeff Donlan (Drums).
Why did we just list the members and their exact musical pieces they play? Because we want to be sure to let you know WHOM to blame, when you’re all rocked and partied out in that corner.
Oh the fun.
Oh the glory.
Fun + Glory = this song.
In October, the band dropped ‘Just Sad’ a 5 song EP. There are no slow tunes. Just party tunes. You know, what you’d expect to hear at a bender at the garage.
Anywho, we dig this – lots. You should too.
We sure do.
