Tablefox ‘Battles’ : Let’s kick butt in our betterment and in being human. Let’s rock like there’s no tomorrow.

Tablefox

New Zealand Alt-rock act Tablefox brings anthemic rock goodness in ‘Battles’.

Said the band: “It has been one hell of a year and within that context this song continues where we left off after ‘Desire or Love’- us doing what we’ve always done, making music that makes us feel something and that allows us to immerse ourselves in that creative moment. It’s especially true this year. Battles can be interpreted however it hits you and in particular it is a very personal song for Clint and his own journey.”

Life is the rule that bends and sometimes breaks. At the end of its consequences, you are there, taking the brunt of it all.

Clinton Bell said: “As a person with both European and Maori ties I would often feel uncomfortable in situations. When I was younger Maori were often portrayed in a negative way in the media, on the TV and around the dinner table. Often I would have to take sides and it was easier for me to conform. This is about my awakening to a culture with a rich positive history and my journey to embrace it.”

Let’s rock, Clinton would say. Let’s kick butt in our betterment and in being human. Let’s rock like there’s no tomorrow.
